My food heart has fallen in love once again. It’s always been a fickle thing – sending love letters and endless praise to the likes of Japanese, Greek, and Swiss cuisines. Playing hot and cold every other week; never selecting just one cuisine to dedicate its true allegiance too. Well, my food heart has found its new fling: Oaxacan Cuisine.
Playa del Carmen was my first stop in Mexico. I didn’t know much about the place other than it was less of a “Little American” than Cancun was. It had beaches and they were calling me but I couldn’t resist the stronger call of the Mexican Food.
Traveling around Finland for 1 Month you find some SUPER places to eat and enjoy.
So what does Finnish cuisine include? Fish, Potatos, Berries and more! With Finland being So far in the North, traditionally vegetables and fruits were hard to come by the majority of the year – but things are different now and things are available all year round. YUM. One of the major downfalls of Finnish Cuisine? only its Cost. It really pulls out every last penny to cook in Finland. But this Nordic country isn’t known for it’s affordability either! So eat up!
The potato is considered holy by the Finnish state church, and it was illegal to waste potatoes until 1998 when the law was overturned.

Does Japanese cuisine have more than Sushi? You bet it does! Japan has a wide assortment of food, but most of the food includes seafood and fish. If you are allergic or just do not like seafood or fish- you probably will not enjoy much more than Rice! Seafood served raw is sashimi, simmered in a pot, grilled over charcoal, or deep-fried is tempura -Japanese chefs have many ways to prepare fish and shellfish.
In one year, the average Japanese person eats slightly more than their own weight in seafood.

Thai food is eaten with a Fork and a Spoon. Not with Chopsticks, as the surrounding Asian countries do. The fork was introduced during the reign of King Mongkut, Rama IV (1851 – 1868) to “westernize” the country.
Throwing food away if not finished during the meal enrages the Thai god of rice. She is the deity who watches over the people to ensure everyone is fed. Bad luck or famine may result.
