Balkan Photo Summary – 30 Days

Balkans Route

Going through the Balkans was incredible. Ok – I snuck some European Union in here to – adding Italy and Slovenia to start and ending with a bang in Greece. The region is vibrant – its history, its food, its views! It was a region I’d been dying to visit for a long time, and my 30-day jaunt didn’t do it justice. But fulfilled all 50 reasons I wanted to explore the Region and gave me 1000 reasons to return.

Photo Diary: New York is Just Plain Cool

New York City- Red Scooter

New York is just plain cool. Everything about the city has that vibe – like its the cool kid. The cool kid who see’s something in you and invites you be part of the cool gang. You tag along, hoping not to do anything stupid in front of them, as they shows you how spectacular they are. Their arty ways, its smart fashion-sense, and its unique personality traits that always keep you engaged. New York was my room mate for 3 days and I’m going to be bragging about it for months.

Photo Diary: Artsy Ljubljana

Slovenia - Ljubljana- Art on the bridge

When I arrived in Ljubljana I did not know what to expect. I knew I was headed to a small capital city that every other blog post I’d ever read waxed poetic about. Castles, Bridges, and Dragons were all part of the cities charm. But the thing that captured my enthusiasm was the cities artistic exposure. I had no idea I would meet the Artsy Ljubljana.

The country has everything; Mountains, Volcanoes, Salt Flats, Plains, Lagunas, and Flamingos. To share with you the feeling of freedom I felt standing in the middle of this for 4 days during my Salar de Uyuni tour, here is a photo diary of Bolivian landscapes.

Photo Diary: A Family Reunion

This year was the first in a few years that I was able to attend my family reunion. The Reunion is for my mother’s side of the family: The Osipenko’s. My grandparents had 5 children, and they all married and had a total of 13 cousins. My brother and I being two of them. And oh yeah – some of those cousins have kids of their own. And dogs – Because they are family members too. And this is how our weekend went.

Photo Diary: Moroccan Views

When I moved to Morocco I was expecting to live in the desert and see camels everywhere. Call me naive – I call myself optimistic. I love the desert and I love camels. But in reality, what I found in Morocco was a varity of landscapes and cityscapes – all unexpected. The Northern part of the country is lush green rolling hills, while just East of Marrakech are mountains with high peaks and deep valleys. Here are some Moroccan Views:

Photo Diary: The #2 Vaporetto in Venice

One of the easiest and more affordable ways to see Venice is via Vaporetto – or water taxis. The #2 is a Grand Tour of Venice hitting up the Grand Canel and the Canel of Guidecca. Here is what you’ll experience via the 17 stops of Vaporette #2. All for the reasonable price of 6.50€ (or 18€ for unlimited rides in 72 hours!)
