Photo of the Week: Colourful Map of Spain

Spain came as a pleasant surprise to me. I was landing in Madrid but wouldn’t venture far; but two day trips to Toledo and Segovia. For all the adventurer in me – I realize as time passes how pleased I am to stay still for longer. To know the streets around me, to have the store owners greet me with each daily return, and to go to bed in the same bed again. To look through my photos, spot a map, and realize I forgot many a story to share, makes me smirk for all my secrets are not yet bared.

Toledo is a walkers labyrinthine Maps and street signs are fairly unhelpful as you wander around in circles, winding ever higher to the peak of the city. And at the top stands the Alcazar.

When the weather gets sunny in Madrid, the folk head to Parque del Buen Retiro in Madrid. Greenery, Peace, and Fun all in the middle of Madrid. Toledo: a city made to be wandered aimlessly

Toledo is a walkers paradise. The cobblestone roads are winding and the beauty is endless. Walk in any direction within the old city walls and you are amazing by beautiful architecture, stunning views of the hilly Spanish surroundings, and the sound of accordions playing in the distance. This is a beautiful place.
