Balkan Photo Summary – 30 Days

Balkans Route

Going through the Balkans was incredible. Ok – I snuck some European Union in here to – adding Italy and Slovenia to start and ending with a bang in Greece. The region is vibrant – its history, its food, its views! It was a region I’d been dying to visit for a long time, and my 30-day jaunt didn’t do it justice. Budget: Croatia 2012

Budget - Croatia 2012

Croatia isn’t cheap. But I didn’t make it cheaper for myself. I could of walked more, eaten at corner stores only, or found cheaper local digs. But I was tired. To know the streets around me, to have the store owners greet me with each daily return, and to go to bed in the same bed again. To look through my photos, spot a map, and realize I forgot many a story to share, makes me smirk for all my secrets are not yet bared.

Let Athens Just Be

Greece - Athens- Statue

I wanted to visit Athens for its Ruins, but what I experienced was much more. I was welcomed kindly into a city that has received much negative press lately, and let its big city, busy streets, bustling markets charm me.
