Croatia isn’t cheap. But I didn’t make it cheaper for myself. I could of walked more, eaten at corner stores only, or found cheaper local digs. But I was tired. And you’ll see by the quick pace I was maintaining, that exhaustion was imminent. Thus, I took the easier way out and headed to a restaurant. Although I did smarten up in Dubrovnik when I had a kitchen to cook in. Otherwise, Croatia could easily do serious damage to your wallet.

Spain came as a pleasant surprise to me. I was landing in Madrid but wouldn’t venture far; but two day trips to Toledo and Segovia. For all the adventurer in me – I realize as time passes how pleased I am to stay still for longer. To know the streets around me, to have the store owners greet me with each daily return, and to go to bed in the same bed again. To look through my photos, spot a map, and realize I forgot many a story to share, makes me smirk for all my secrets are not yet bared.
