For the first part of 2010 I was on a University exchange program in Bangkok, Thailand attending Thammasat University. This was my first time in Asia and it stole my heart. I traveled around a lot due to the extremely cheap prices in South East Asia. I even headed north to Japan for 10 days to visit friends; which was the reason Japan got onto this list; I’d never afford Japan without my extremely generous friends who let me stay with them. My best friend Jeannie came to visit for the month of May and we did a whirlwind tour hitting the 4 countries of Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Singapore. I had a month off so headed to Indonesia before flying to the South of Philippines for a 2 month work placement. In September I returned to Canada to finish my last year of my undergraduate degree in the country’s capital of Ottawa.
