2012 Summary

2012 Chrystal Collage

2012 has been an extremely fun year for me. I travelled 4 continents and 14 countries. So I figured I would give you a summary type post about my entire year filled with my a dazzling photo of moi (har har) along with a Post line-up for each country I visited. Here we go.

Chronological Order always makes my mind feel at ease. So I’ll put the countries in order of visit and all posts within that country below it. I won’t include any posts I wrote this year that do not correspond to a country visited in 2012. Nor photos of the Week – Just all posts about said country. So here you have it: My travels of 2012.

And an amazing year I have had! See you in 2013!

  1. your 2012 was really amazing! and these pictures are just gorgeous! here’s to 2013 being even better!
Also thanks for including links to your posts – I’m heading to Morocco this month and it’s gonna be an useful read to me! :)

    • Thanks! I’m trying to improve my photography and hopefully it shows! Of course, I always loved reading others round-up posts for ease of reading so I figured I’d give all of you that same thing! Have fun in Morocco – where in the country are you going?

      • thanks! I’m flying to/from Marrakesh and have only a week there but better this than nothing, right? I actually should start planning my itinerary there so if you have any inside advices I’d lve to hear them :)

        • Marrakech is amazing and Equity Point hostel is a great place to stay. If anybody offers to help you find a place – tell them you won’t pay them otherwise they’ll ask for like 50 dirham (major rip off). I never made it to the Sahara but its a 4 day journey minimum RT from Marrakech and you won’t see much of the desert in 4 days – most will be spent driving. Otherwise Ait Ben Haddou, the Atlas Mountains, Essaouira, and just being in Marrakech are incredible.

  2. Your blog is absolutely amazing and beatiful!! I’ve loved following all your fantastic adventures this year! Inspiration to a fellow aspiring travel blogger :), especially since I am also a lover of books, aimless wandering, and ruins! (although I haven’t exactly seen a lot in my life yet…I hope to!)

    • Wow, Thanks Anne! You don’t have to see a lot to love all those things – I loved them before I left too. Where are you travelling too next Anne?

      • I agree!! And I am leaving my home in New Hampshire to return to Tuscaloosa, Alabama tomorrow for my second semester of my freshman year of college. I hope to take a lot of hiking trips during though, and over spring break I am taking a road trip with friends across the American South all the way to Arizona! I don’t get the chance to get out of the country until this summer – if I am lucky enough to receive the Arabic study scholarship I applied for then I’ll be somewhere in the Middle East for the whole summer! (either Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, or Oman; I don’t get to pick, it’s a surprise if I do somehow get the scholarship!!)
What about you? Where are you headed next?! I’m excited to read about it haha!
