Photo of the Week: Palace of Westminster Silhouette
The Palace of Westminster. The House of Parliament. Big Ben. Called it as you will – this place has power. Sitting on the River Thames, it is one of London’s most iconic sights. At least, the river-facing part of it is. This is the back.
As you walk across the Westminster Bridge, along the gates, you notice that the building is much more dynamic from behind. Big Ben stands out – sure – but from behind you have these turrets standing tall. It shows depth and intrigue. With each turret topped with a cross. I think the back of The Palace of Westminster is the more intriguing part.
Sorry Big Ben – Your backsides nicer than your front.
