Travel Route: Cambodia

Cambodia is a magical country known for its spirituality and temples; most famously Angkor Wat. These temples built by the Khmer capture the hearts and dazzle the eyes of all who visit. But Cambodia is a country with a troubling past: namely the Khmer Rouge genocide; but has overcome its history and is a visually stunning country to visit which will open your hearts to a people and their past.

This is a simple Route through Cambodia. It visits all the major cities and you can do day trips to all major sights.

I’ve listed 3 sights/activities by City in the form of photos. I am a highly visual person, who loves colour, and is easily enticed by it. Perhaps you will be to.

I´ve been to Cambodia but I didn´t spend near enough time to do the country justice. As a temple lover, Cambodia is king of the world and I need to return to pay proper respects to this ancient civilization and its incredible architecture.

  1. This is a great list of places in Cambodia. I’ve only been to Siem Reap and Koh Ker. You should have gone to Koh Ker to see the majestic ruin of Prasat Thom and the ruins in Beng Mealea. ^_^

    • I would love to! Thanks for the suggestion of the ruins! LOVE RUINS!
